The ingredients needed to make Gingerbread:
- Get 100 g all purpose flour
- Take 1/2 tsp baking soda
- Take 3 level tsp. Ground ginger
- Prepare 1 beaten egg
- Take 3 tbsp.milk
- Prepare 50 g butter/margarine
- Make ready 50 g sugar
- Get 1 tbsp. Golden syrup
- Get 2 tbsp. Raisins/sultanas
Instructions to make Gingerbread:

- Melt the butter, sugar and golden syrup together in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir in with a wooden spoon and when properly melted let it cool slightly.
- Blend the fat and syrup mixture into the dry ingredients.
- Add the beaten egg to the milk, mix and add it to the batter mixing well until incorporated.
- Add in the raisins and stir properly.
- Pour the mixture into a greased loaf tin and bake over moderate heat of 180c-190c for 20-25mins.
- When done allow to cool before removing from the tin.
- Cut into slices, squares and ENJOY!!!
