The ingredients needed to make Veg Biryani:
- Take 5-6 tbsp oil
- Prepare 50 Gm butter
- Take 2 medium size sliced onion
- Prepare 5-6 chopped Garlic cloves
- Get 1 inch finely chopped Ginger
- Take 2 slit green chilli
- Get 1 tsp cumin seeds
- Get 8-10 Cloves
- Make ready 1 black cardamom
- Make ready 2 green cardamom
- Prepare 3 inch cinemon sticks
- Get 1-2 stars
- Make ready 3-4 Bay leaves
- Prepare 15-20 Black papper
- Get 1 tsp turmeric powder
- Prepare 2 tsp coriander powder
- Make ready 1 tsp red chilli powder
- Take 1 tsp garam masala powder
- Make ready 2 tsp biryani masala
- Prepare 1 tsp cumin powder
- Make ready 1 tsp dry mango powder
- Prepare Salt to taste
- Make ready 2 medium size chopped tomatos optional
- Get 1 Cup All color square shape chopped capcicums
- Prepare 1 Cup coliflower
- Get 1/4 Cup peas
- Make ready 1/4 Cup french beans
- Prepare 2 medium size chopped potatos
- Prepare 2-3 Medium size chopped carrot
- Make ready 10-15 cashew nuts
- Get 1 1/2 cup long Basmati Rice
- Make ready 3 tbsp curd
Steps to make Veg Biryani:
- First soak the rice in the water for 2 Hours. Now lets take the biryani pot and add oil. Once the oil is hot then add cumins seeds, cloves, black cardamom, green cardamon, cinemon sticks, star, bay leaves. once all these carackles then add green chilliy, chopped ginger & garlic. saute for a while and then add chopped sliced onions. Saute for 2 mins on meduim flame.
- Now add chopped carrots, peas and french beans. Now saute again for 2 mins then add all colour chooped capcicums, potatos and coliflowers. Also add all the cashewnuts and the butter. Now saute for another 2 mins on medium flame. Now add salt to taste, chopped tomatoes and saute for another 2 mins.
- Now add all the spices powders, saute for a while and then add 3 tbsp curd and saute untill you see the oil is released. now add soaked rice and mix gently. please do not over mix. Now add 2 cup warm water and mix it very gently. Switch the flame to very low.
- Now its time to cover the lid and make sure no steam comes out from the biryani pot. After 5 mins, open the lid and stir it very gently and again cover the lid and steam it for another 5 more mins. Now switch off the flame. Finally the Veg Biryani is ready to serve:-) Serve it with the curd or Raita for the best combination.
