- To the bowl with meat, add flour to coat each piece.
- Next, heat sunflower oil in the pot and add the meat pieces and season with salt and pepper. Cook 2minutes each side and set aside
- To the same pot, fry garlic and onions until softened, then add carrots and kohlrabi.
- Add tomato puree and the meat back.
- Next add paprika and chopped fresh thyme
- Add water enough to cover the pot allowing the lamb to cook
- Meanwhile for dumplings, sift together flour, baking powder, salt and add butter to it, use a fork to combine,do not overmix
- Add milk to the mixture, to produce a soft dough
- Use a tablespoon to scoop out the dumpling dough to the stew, placing each dumpling on top. This should be done 30 minutes prior to finishing cooking time of the stew. When done putting the dumplings, cook further for 15 to 18minutes uncovered.
