Besan ki burfi is basically a gram flour fudge, a traditional sweet that everyone loves. Now that most of the Indian festivals ahead of us it's time to indulge and make homemade delicious sweets for festivals more often. Flavorful, fudgy and melt-in-your-mouth Easy Besan Barfi is made using besan, ghee, sugar, and water. To get started with this recipe, we have to prepare a few ingredients. You can cook beaam ki burfi using 8 ingredients and 16 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.
The ingredients needed to make Beaam Ki Burfi:
- Take 1 Cup Besan
- Prepare 1/2 Cup Desi Ghee
- Prepare 1/4 Cup Fine Suji
- Prepare 1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar
- Get 1 Teaspoon Elaichi Powder
- Get 4-5 Almonds
- Take 4-5 Cashews
- Prepare 4-5 Pistachio
Main Ingredients : Gram flour (besan) (बेसन), Green cardamom powder (इलाइची का पावडर) Besan Burfi is a popular Indian sweet made of chickpea flour (gram flour) and ghee. Try out this simple recipe and enjoy this Diwali season with love and of course, Besan Burfi made at home. Made with roasted Besan, butter and sugar, it is then flavored with cardamom and garnished with nuts. Besan Burfi can be served any time of the day.
Steps to make Beaam Ki Burfi:
- If you don’t have fine Suji & powdered Sugar grind them finely in a mixer grinder.
- Take a pan, add 1 Tablespoon Desi Ghee in it & roast almonds, Kaju & Pistachio in it & when they start popping turn off the gas & take them out.
- Then chop them roughly.
- Now take a kadhai & keep it on low flame.
- Now add 1 Cup Besan, 1/4 Cup Fine Suji in it & dry roast them for 1-2 minutes till Besan start releasing a fragrance.
- After 1-2 minutes, slowly-slowly start adding ghee in it so that no lumps are formed in Suji or Besan.
- Now roast them for 5 minutes, till Besan starts releasing moisture & Suji starts swelling.
- After 5 minutes, add 1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar, 1 Teaspoon Elaichi Powder & mix them properly.
- Now roast them for 20-25 minutes till Besan starts changing colour into golden brown in colour & they start releasing a fragrance.
- Now take a cake tin, apply desi ghee or butter paper in it.
- Now after 20-25 minutes, turn off the gas & transfer the mix in the cake tin.
- Tap the tin on the slab so that all bubbles get disappeared.
- Spread it with the help of a spoon evenly & add roughly chopped dry fruits in it.
- Now let the mixture rest for 2-3 hours in room temperature.
- After 2-3 hours, heat the tip of a knife & cut the mixture into equal size cubes.
- Your Besan Ki Burfi is ready to be served.
Made with roasted Besan, butter and sugar, it is then flavored with cardamom and garnished with nuts. Besan Burfi can be served any time of the day. In India, burfi is the term used for a sweet fudge and it can be made with anything from lentils to nuts, fruits and in this case from besan. The ingredient list for making besan burfi is small (ghee, sugar and cardamom) but as it is most Indian sweets, it takes some skills to get it right. No, I am not trying to scare you guys.
