  1. First soak the Tamarind for 20 minutes. Then squeeze and filter the thick tamarind water.
  2. In a pan add fenugreek seeds and 8 chilies in a dry pan. In a mixer grinder add this and make it into fine powder, along with salt.
  3. Then in another big pan add oil, allow mustard to crack and add all other ingredients and fry it. Then add the filtered thick tamarind water.
  4. Allow to cook for 20-30 minutes, It will become as a thick paste.
  5. Can be stored in a container for 10-15 days without keeping it in a fridge.
  6. Pulikaichal is ready to taste. Add to the white rice and prepare Puliyotharai.
