Each day the same routine would be followed, albeit, in a different house. Heat the ghee in a pressure cooker and add the cumin seeds and asafoetida. Soak the dal overnight and in morning drain the water and grind it to smooth paste in blender. This will help in having super soft and moist Mangodis.

Instructions to make Daal mangodi:
  1. Soak moong dal for 2 -3 hrs and grind the soaked dal with ginger and green chillies.Mix all spices and besan to the mixture and beat it with hand for 5 min. Mixture will become fluffy now.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Take small portion of this mixture and fry small mangodi of it. Soak these mangodi in water for 5 min.Now heat oil in a pan and add hing and jeera to it. Add tomato puree to it and stir.Now add all spices and 1/2 cup of water.Boil it and add mangodi to it. Add 1tbsp lemon juice to it and serve…
