The pitha resembles modak of Maharashtra and Kozhakkattai of South India. The name is derived from Odia word "Mandeiba" (Odia: ମଣ୍ଡେଇବା) means "to.   1. Heat a pan add jaggery after melting jaggery add coconut stir fry. Add ginger, cardamom powder and pepper powder mix well.
  2. When the mixture becomes dry side it.Heat a pan add 2 1/2 bowl water,add salt add rice flour mix it well and make a soft dough.
  3. Arrange the dumplings.Divide the dough into 10 to13 piece. Take one piece flat and stuff the coconut mixture. Cover it and make a round shape.
  4. Steam the ball.On a steamer. Now dumplling is ready.
