- The Guava was added to the caramelized sugar and boiled in 2 cup of water with some salt
- Once the water was almost absorbed leaving a thick caramel and soft guavas the guavas were blended with the sugar syrup and strained to remove the seeds
- In a pan oil was added and cumin seeds and ginger was tempered. The chilli powder and cumin powder was added followed by the rest of the sugar and caramelized.
- To this caramelized mixture the pureed Guava is added and kept on medium heat till it reaches a thick consistency
- Once the desired consistency is reached the chat masala is added and the jam is poured into a container and served as a savoury jam.
