  6. Prepare 2 tablespoons Dark syrup (Molasses)

Instructions to make Fruity Flapjack:
  1. Wash, core and dice apples. Put in a small container dish with a few shots of lemon juice and water, to prevent browning.
  2. In a medium saucepan, the golden syrup, dark syrup, brown sugar and butter until just melted.
  3. Add oats and stir in well.
  4. Strain water from apples, add them to saucepan, along with the quartered Cherries. Stir in well.
  5. While that is heating, butter a baking tray, (8 x12”).
  6. When mix starts to bubble, pour into tray and smooth top with a knife.
  7. Cook in a medium to hot oven for about 30-40 minutes until firm to the touch
  8. Leave it the tin for about 5 minutes, cut into bite size pieces. Leave to cool completely. When cool, scoop out and enjoy!!
