  2. Make ready 500 gms chicken

  18. Get 11/2 medium sized onions chopped roughly
  19. Get 2 medium sized tomatoes chopped roughly
  20. Prepare 1/2 green chilli
  21. Prepare 1 tbsp tamarind paste
  22. Make ready 4 tbsp oil
  23. Get as required Water as required

  25. Get as required Chopped coriander leaves
Instructions to make Goan Chicken curry:
  1. In a bowl, marinate the chicken with the ingredients under "For marination" and keep in the refrigerator for around 1/2 an hour.
  2. In a pan dry roast all the whole dry spices. Let it cool.
  3. While the dry spices are cooling, heat oil in a pan, saute the onions, tomatoes and green chilli till they are soft and pulpy. Remove from flame and set aside to cool.
  4. Once both the dry spices and the onion tomato mixture is cooled. Grind them to a fine paste adding water if and as required.
  5. Then in a pan, heat oil and fry the marinated chicken for about 5 mins.
  6. Next add the ground masala paste to the chicken, add water then cover and cook on slow fire till the chicken is cooked.
  7. Once the chicken is cooked, add the tamarind pulp cook for 5 mins more.
  8. Finally garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or paratha or roti.
